What you will need
- A soft measuring tape or even a piece of string and a ruler
Measuring for a collar
- Find the spot on your dogs neck where the collar naturally sits (typically mid neck)
- Wrap the measuring tape snugly but not tightly and adjust to allow approximately a two finger gap, then note down the measurements
This is often referred to as the 'two finger rule'. You should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dogs neck.
